Season of Giving W/ Take a Vet Fishing

Days are getting shorter, nights are getting colder, and ice fisherman are getting impatient! It must be the start of the holiday season and winter!  

The time of year where everything seems to revolve around gifting and parties with family and friends. For the fifth year here at Aaron’s Custom Tying, it’s my pleasure to do what I can to give back for all the support my generous customers have shown me over the years. For the third year in a row I selected Take a Vet Fishing (TAVF) as the sole beneficiary of the fundraiser. 

Back in 2023 I learned more about what TAVF does for our nation's veterans and thought it aligned well with my mission as a business and customer base!

Their goal is to give back to our nation's heroes through the outdoors. As the name suggests, this is primarily through fishing events where vets are paired up with volunteers on their boats and simply get to enjoy a day on the water. We all know there’s something healing out there in search of a tight line. But the healing doesn’t stop there for TAVF. They also provide medical healing services for veterans suffering from PTSD and other ailments from their time in service.  

For those unfamiliar with the Season of Giving fundraiser, it’s basic. 100% of the sales from these kits and raffle tickets go directly to TAVF after it ends Dec. 31. In my mind, it’s a win-win! You get a handful of exclusive jigs in a small tin, plus some local artisan chocolate and a chance to win a TAVF merchandise bundle with the purchase of raffle tickets!
