The Season of Giving

Days are getting shorter, daily highs struggle to get past 45, and it seems that every advertiser has skipped right over Thanksgiving, it must be the holiday season! Whether you’re already on your 3rd viewing of Elf or waiting till Dec 1st - it’s hard to ignore the holiday spirit!


Every year around this time, I am filled with the spirit of gratitude. As a small business owner, I am extremely blessed with loyal customers who love the products that I put so much of my own pride in! It is not lost on me that this is a unique privilege, and I certainly do not take it for granted. So, each of the last three years I have run the Season of Giving campaign as my best effort to give back, and deflect this support in the direction of a cause I believe in. Through selling jig kits with an open donation amount, 100% of the sales total being donated at the end of the campaign, we have been able to do some incredible things! In 2021 we were able to raise $625 for Make-A-Wish Foundation. And in 2022 we stepped it up with $910 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year I am hoping we can break the $1,000 barrier for Take-A-Vet-Fishing.


Take-A-Vet-Fishing provides fishing experiences for our country's brave veterans, free of charge! Since their inception, they have taken over 4,000 veterans fishing and plan to keep adding new events and new states every year.


It’s no secret that fishing and the outdoors in general can be healing. Many of the veterans served by Take-A-Vet-Fishing have found relief from PTSD symptoms and other stressors that burden their daily lives. The community and support these deserving veterans encounter is provided through gracious donations of money, time, and resources.
